for a while now, I have believed that the scorpion creatures described in REVELATION are the electronic media devices that are so prevalent and influential, personally, in our day. 
my reasons are: the devices are beautiful/glamorous (flowing woman's hair) dramatically violent and masculine (ferocious teeth) all in one creature, beyond possible human standards.
